He is survived by: his mother Patsy Melissa Smith (Bennett) of Fayette, MO; his spouse Candee Meller; his children, Jason Edward Smith of Brunswick, Jared Evan Smith (Danielle) of Blue Springs, MO and Heather Lucille Smith DeShong (Brent) of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Kyla Smith Truitt (Rayce), Trinity Adams, Kurt Smith, Layne Smith, Isabella Adams, Dayten Boss, Evan Smith and Emerie Smith; his brother Darrell Smith (Sue) of Chino, CA; his nephew Shaun Smith; and his niece Sara Smith.
