We announce the death of Dorothy L. Holzum of Jackson, Missouri, who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 95. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Dorothy will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Dorothy will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Dorothy’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Seabaugh and Virginia Seabaugh (Masterson); and her husband Vernon J. Holzum. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Wildermuth (Elvis), Mike Holzum (Irene), Sheilah Smith (Ron) and Mark Holzum (Susan). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister.
A burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Russell Heights Cemetery (435 S Farmington Rd, Jackson, MO 63755).
