He was predeceased by : his parents, Dewey Hinton and Eileen Spain Hinton; and his siblings, Benny, Ralph, Nelson Hinton and Carolyn Klueppel.
He is survived by : his wife Anna R. Hinton; his children, Gregory Hinton (Lavonne) of Wappapelo, Jon Hinton (Sandy) of Cape Girardeau, Steven Hinton (Jamie) of Jackson, David Hinton (Lesa) of Cape Girardeau, Susan Schuchert (Paul) of New York and Laure Upchurch of Cape Girardeau; his grandchildren, Erika Perez, Emily Greable, Erin Upchurch, Ryan Upchurch, Kelli Adams, Kyle Hinton, Kris Hinton, Kristen Smith, Kevin Hinton, Ben Hinton, Joshua Hinton, Adam Hinton, Eli Schuchert and Maya Schuchert; and his siblings, Henry, Terry, Michael Hinton, Nancy Irvine and Marsha Hinton. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
