He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto "Chip" Wachter and Lillian Haertling Wachter; his daughter Kristy LeAnn Budt; and his brothers, Charley and Marty Wachter.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn S. Wachter of Jackson; his daughter Shelly Wren of Jackson; his sisters, Marlene Scholl of Cape Girardeau and Janet Statler (Steve) of Jackson; his granddaughters, Kaley Elliott (Dustin) of Modesto, Abigail Hightower (Joshua) of Montgomery Village and Julia Budt of Frederick, Maryland; his great grandchildren, Paxton River Elliott of Modesto, Salah Rain Hightower of Montgomery Village, Waylon Paul Elliott of Modesto, Sirae Skye and Solen Storm Hightower of Montgomery Village; and his stepchildren, Lisa Dowdy (Tim) of Jackson, James McGill (Whitney) of Paducah and Donna Williams of Cape Girardeau. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that contributions be made to First Arbor Baptist Church.
