He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Kester and Mary Bequette Kester; his sisters, Mabel Blankenship and Louise Kester; and his niece Doris Wilke-Zastrow.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Kester of Jackson; his children, Beverley Kester (Bruce Loy) of Jackson, James Brian Kester (Mary) of Garden Grove and Tina Kester-Cutuli (Pete) of Corona, California; and his siblings, Monroe Kester of Bloomsdale, George Kester (Leona) of Friedheim, Willie Kester of Friedheim, Mary L. Williams of Perryville, Sediala Wilke of House Springs, Sharon Bodenschatz (Glenn) of Oak Ridge and Carol Miller of Washington, Missouri. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCombs Funeral Home & Cremation Center (640 W Independence St, Jackson, MO 63755). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Russell Heights Cemetery (435 S Farmington Rd, Jackson, MO 63755).
The family suggests that contributions be made to Missouri Veterans Home Foundation.
