With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Elaine Helt of Jackson, Missouri, who passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry C. Born and Dora Sims Born; and her daughter Kim Melvin. She is survived by : her husband Carl Helt of Jackson; her children, Matthew A. Wettig (Paula) of Anna, Cass Jump of LaCenter and Rebecca Lohman (Nick) of Montgomery, Texas; and her siblings, Delores Adams of Cobden, Illinois and Henry Born Jr. (Margie) of DuQuoin, Illinois. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pursuant to Phyllis's wishes, her body was donated for study to Logan University. If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests Immaculate Conception Building Fund in Jackson, Missouri, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
