He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Jones and Vonna Eddleman Jones; his brothers, Eugene, Freeman and Alan "Rack" Jones; and his daughter Deborah Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Anna Hahs Jones; his daughter Rhonda Jones (Arthur Acklie) of Franklin, TN; his son-in-law Roger Burton of Poplar Bluff, MO; his grandson Eric Thilman (Jackie) of Poplar Bluff; his great grandchildren, Travis and Damian Thilman of Poplar Bluff; his stepgranddaughters, Felicia Burton of Rosemount, MN and Brittany Burton Marino of Holly Springs, NC; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Peyton Schanen, Sophia and Nico Marino.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Shriners' Hospitals for Children.
