In loving memory of Kathryn F. Mort of Jamesport, Missouri, who departed this world on October 16, 2025 at the age of 93. Kathryn leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Kathryn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Kathryn has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Brooke Stith and Dorothy Stith (Mettle); her son Walter Wells Jr.; and her sisters, Mary Margaret Ehly and Betty Eileen Stith.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Mort; her son Kraig Mort of Gallatin, MO; her grandsons, Justin Wells and Colton Wells (Taryn); and her great grandchild Merrick. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A reception will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stith Funeral Home & Crematory (503 Broadway St, Jamesport, MO 64648).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Jamesport United Methodist Church or Pilot Grove #2 Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
