Terry D. Slinkard Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Terry D. Slinkard in Jane, Missouri. Terry, born on July 13, 1942, passed away on August 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil L. Slinkard and Laura Ellen Slinkard (Williams); his brothers, Bill, Leland and Tom Slinkard; and his son-in-law Tim Bishop.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Slinkard (Taylor); his children, Marty Slinkard (Stacy) of Duenweg, MO, Dawn Bishop (Mike) of Olathe, KS and Daphne Decker (Donnie) of Republic, MO; his grandchildren, McCoy Slinkard (Tracie), Blake Bishop, Alyssa Decker, Luke Bishop, Megan Decker and Claire Bishop; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Slinkard and Swadyn Slinkard. He is also survived by sister/brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews; several bonus grandchildren and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Terry's honor be made to Charlie 22, a non-profit organization that provides free, outdoor activities and retreats for military veterans and their families.
