He was predeceased by : his parents, Reynold Adolph Schlichting and Naoma Irene Schlichting (Atkinson); and his brother Robert Schlichting. He is survived by : his wife Rebecca Ann Neibrook; his sons, Matthew Schlichting (Jana) of Lamar and Michael Schlichting (Katie) of Jasper; his grandchildren, Michaela Richardson (Klayton), Andrew Schlichting of Jasper, Megan Schlichting of Lamar and Dalton Schlichting of Lamar; his great grandchildren, Rolland, Kyrra, Jazzmyne, Preston, Wyatt and Ember; and his brothers, Steve Schlichting (Sharon) of Shell City and Doug Schlichting (Elaine) of Lamar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
