She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Howard and Azilee Howard; her husband Rex Bauer; her daughter Deidra Marti; and her siblings, Albert Howard, Floyd Howard, Fred Howard, Leonard Howard, Darrell Howard (Lloyd Howard), Alberta Pendergraft and Loretta Martin.
She is survived by: her daughter Dana Hern (John) of Jasper; her son-in-law Kent "Butch" Marti; her sisters, Kathryn Bartley of Asbury and Dixie Phelps of Springfield, Missouri; her grandchildren, Amber Bass (Jonathan), Ashley Kautz (Richard) and Kaleb Marti (Katelyn); and her great grandchildren, Jordan Rice, McGwire "Mac" Rice (Marley), Emersyn Bass, Brody Kautz, Hunter Kautz, Madison Marti and Hudson Marti.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ulmer Funeral Home (1208 S Garrison Ave, Carthage, MO 64836). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Nashville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family would like contributions made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
