He is survived by: his wife Irma Armenta of Ann's Catholic Church; his sons, Gabe Johnston (Kerry) of Webb City, Michael Johnston (Kenna) of Oronogo, D. J. Johnston (Brooke) of Carthage and Lemmie Johnston of Jasper, Missouri; his siblings, John Johnston (Hellen) of Manitou Springs, Colorado and Susan Yoder (Ed) of Butler, Missouri; his grandchildren, Braden Stefan (Sarah), Logan Johnston, Kierstin Johnston, Laney Miller (Matt) of Isabelle Johnston, A. J and Hayden Johnston; and his great grandchildren, Rynlee Stefan, Blair Stefan, Lakyn Stefan, Kolson Stefan, Finn Johnston and Miles Miller.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ulmer Funeral Home (1208 S Garrison Ave, Carthage, MO 64836). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
