We announce the death of Arlene Heckman (Jefferson City, Missouri), who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 81. Arlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo H. Bexten and Agnes C. Bexten (Baumhoer); her siblings, Jim Bexten, Albert Bexten, Richard Bexten, Randy Bexten, Stanley Bexten and Pauline "Polly" Amsinger; her parents-in-law, Ed and Mary Heckman; and her siblings-in-law, William Heckman, Kieth Birge, Don Amsinger and Barbara Bexten.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence; her children, Dan Heckman of Wardsville, Bryan Heckman (Theresa) of Jefferson City, Kim Drainer (Bob) of Wardsville, Kevin Heckman of Wardsville and Kristy Gieck (Louis) of Jefferson City; her siblings, Thomas "Tim" Bexten (Mary) and Dorothy Birge; her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bexten, Ann Bexten and Bernice Bexten; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Scheuler (Josh), Victoria Heckman, Abaigeal Heckman, Jeremiah Heckman (Mia), Quinton Baker, William Heckman, Carson Drainer (Lexie Wankum), Elizabeth Drainer, Ava Gieck and Griffin Gieck; and her great grandchildren, Henry, Charlie and Matthew.
