It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice E. Benton (Jefferson City, Missouri), who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton J. Derkum and Catherine Derkum (Feind); her husband Jim; and her siblings, Pauline Braun (Paul), Mary Ann Prenger (Richard) and Norman.

She is survived by : her sons, Kendall Benton (Kristy) of Jefferson City and Travis Benton (Sara) of Wardsville; her grandchildren, Kendra, Joel, Braylee, Kambrie and Carlie; and her stepgrandchildren, Claire and Caleb.
