She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Heislen and Henrietta Heislen (Dirckx); her siblings, Francis, Eddie Joe, Kenny and Mary Claire; and her children, William "Billy" Chesnut and Becky.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her children, Jimmie (Paula) and Teresa; her brother Phil Heislen; her extended family Patty Bryant (Chip); and her grandchildren, Bella Boo, Joshua Chesnut (Maci) and Jacob Chesnut.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the family; these will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for children in foster care—something that meant the world to Betty.
