She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Gilbert and Hattie Bacon (Muhlenbruch); and her husband John Lewis. She is survived by: her children, David Lewis of Jefferson City, Debbie Mehmert (Tom) of Holts Summit and Diana Phelps (Chuck) of Jefferson City; her brother Jerry Bacon (Connie) of Chatham, Illinois; her grandchildren, Beth Crocker (Johnny), Jen Martin (Joe), Dan Lewis (Emily), Chad Terrell, Bryan Mehmert, Aimee Terrell and Eric Mehmert (Brianna Murphy); and her great grandchildren, Emma, Delaney, Claire, Jack, Olivia, Colby, Adlee, Lily, Connor, Silas and John. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Freeman Mortuary (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Freeman Chapel (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens (4205 Horner Rd, Jefferson City, MO 65109).
