He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Smith and Eva Bridgett Smith (Burke); his parents-in-law, Roy and Lorene Donnell; his son Todd Smith; and his brother-in-law Roger Donnell.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Smith; his daughter Aimee Toman (Dave) of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; his daughter-in-law Vernette Smith of Winchester, Virginia; his grandchildren, Louis Jack Smith of Winchester, Virgina and Malia Hope Smith of Winchester, Virgina; and his sister-in-law Ellen Donnel of Gladstone.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (2727 Wesley St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Cole Camp Cemetery (Cole Camp, MO 65325).
