He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smittle and Mary Smittle (Podwell); his brother Jack Smittle; and his sister-in-law Maxine. He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Smittle; his children, Michelle Jansen (Scott), Brian Smittle, Deborah Kovacs (Scott), Carie Stark (Terry) and Cory Blackburn (Susan); his grandchildren, Abbie Jansen, Katie Jansen, Slate Smittle, Spencer Kovacs, Riley Kovacs, Christian Campbell (Jarrod), Carma Bittle, Garrett Stark (Goli), Ethan Blackburn and Gavin Blackburn; his great grandchildren, Kaydith Maddox and Hannah Campbell; and his nephew David Smittle (Kim).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freeman Chapel (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101).
