It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Weitzel of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard D. Weitzel and Norma Jean Kreitler (Dees); his wife Judi; his sister Jacque Bray; and his grandsons, Brandon Pruitt and Jacob Pruitt.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Sebastian (Sandy) of Jefferson City, Gina Engelbrecht (Rick) of Jefferson City, Nikki Cole of Jefferson City and Mellissa Nivens (Chad) of Jefferson City; his brother Donnie Weitzel (Susan) of Desloge; and his grandchildren, Magen Sebastian, Jereme Sebastian (Kenzie), Chelsea Steele, William Steele, Grace Cole, Sydney Nivens, Sophey Nivens and Sadie Nivens. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Freeman Mortuary (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Freeman Chapel (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (3015 W Truman Blvd, Jefferson City, MO 65109).
