It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carol Schaffer (Jefferson City, Missouri), born in Marys Home, Missouri, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Bungart and Angeline Bungart (Sanning); her husband Vincent John Schaffer; and her siblings, Raymond Bungart, Harold Bungart, Clem Bungart, Elroy Bungart, Helen Bisges and Angie Wieberg.

She is survived by : her children, Alan Schaffer (Sheila) of Jefferson City, Aaron Schaffer (Erin) of St. Anthony, Karen Gabelsberger (Brad) of Frankenstein, Adam Schaffer (Kim) of Clinton and Kristy Schaffer (James McMahan) of Arlington, Virginia; her grandchildren, Avery Schaffer, Evan Schaffer, Savannah Schaffer, Everett Schaffer, Andrea Schaffer, Ariel Bond (Wade), Miranda Gabelsberger, Wyatt Gabelsberger, Kathryn Schaffer, Alyssa Schaffer and Henry Schaffer; her sisters, Adele Lueckenoff of Wardsville, Etta Schulte of Mary's Home, Eunice Kauffman of Jefferson City, Elizabeth "Susie" Schulte (George) of Jefferson City and Barb Bax (Benny) of Mary's Home; and her sister-in-law Betty Bungart. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
