He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Kruse and Esther Amanda Kruse (Larson); his wife Marguerite Ruth Mohr; his son Steven Kruse; his son-in-law Edward "Eddie" Presson; and his brothers-in-law, Luther Mohr (Marilyn) and David Mohr.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karan Presson of St. Louis and Kimberly "Kim" Duggan (Tim) of Jefferson City; his daughter-in-law Misti Kruse of New Windsor, Illi.; his grandchildren, Paul Presson (Katy), Laura Carlstrom Willeke (Joel), Todd Carlstrom, Luke Presson (Dana), Emily Presson (Matt), Joshua Kruse and Brittany Kruse; his great grandchildren, Christian, Elisa Presson, Liam, Abby Bauer, Raelynn Presson, Henry, Harrison Willeke, Neve, Cal Duggan and Addison McEwan; and his siblings-in-law, John Mohr (Linda) of Boise, Darlene O'Brien of North Liberty and Joyce Steffenson (Bill) of Waukon.
