It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald John Kruse of Jefferson City, Missouri, born in Bonner Springs, Kansas, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Julius Joseph and Christine Anna Kruse (Albers); his wife Grace Kruse; his daughter Maridee Kruse; and his son-in-law Jim Peters.

He is survived by : his children, Janice "Jan" Kruse of Jefferson City, MO., Mike Kruse (Tambra) of Jefferson City, MO., Denise Peters of Jefferson City, MO. and Shelly Kruse (Sharon) of Jefferson City, MO.; and his grandchildren, Krista Roberts (Ken), James Joseph Peters, Alicia Dixon (Craig), Sarah Cain (Andy), Stacey Cowan (Chris), Michael John Kruse (Melissa), Kalen Thompson (Casey) and Tyler K. Thomas. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Freeman Mortuary (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Freeman Chapel (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101).
