Garnet Day Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnet Day of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Alvin and Ruby Lurene Day (Smith); her husband Dennis Leo Holford; her brothers, Austin Harvey Day and Lonnie Elvin Day; and her niece Emma Jones.
She is survived by: her siblings, Anita "Gayle" Jones (Douglas Sr.) of Doniphan and William "Roscoe" Day (Shirley) of Windsor; and her nieces and nephews, Steve Day of Spring, Doug Jones (Becky) of Jefferson City, Tanya Wharton (Brian) of Seguin, Scott Jones of Jefferson City, Cindy LeMaster of Windsor, Jessica Shirley of Geneseo, John Jones of Frederick and Timothy Day of Windsor. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews and members of her extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Freeman Mortuary (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
