Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret L. Slusser and Charles J. Ruengert. He is survived by: his wife Julie Ruengert; his son David Ruengert; his grandson Levi Ruengert; his sister Linda Bridges; his in-laws, Norman and Catherine Schroeder; and his former wife Doe Ruengert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors (2613 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17.
