He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph C. Young and Mary Evelyn Young; his brother Bob Young; his children, Scott Young (Sarah) of Winchester and Melissa Schildman of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Logan Young (Alexis Reynolds), Austin Young, Kate Monk (Brandon) and Jack Schildman (Gabbi Meehan); his great grandchild Colton Monk; and his pet Lexi.

Memorials are suggested to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or the Jacksonville Athletic Booster Club.
