John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Bahr and Margaret Bahr (Brester); and his brother Carl. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tappel of Jefferson City; his daughter Gayla Welsh of Osage Beach; his grandson Jack Welsh of Lake Ozark; and his sister-in-law Linda Pritzel of Koeltztown.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Trimble Funeral Homes (3210 N 10 Mile Dr, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A prayer was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
