He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Gentges and Vida Gentges (Morris); and his sister Nancy Backes. He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Gentges; and his children, John Gentges, Jr. (Michelle), Julie Clingman (Dwayne), Jerry Gentges (Sylvia) of Jacksonville, FL, Janice Houser (Steve) and Jodie Maddox (Steve) of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers/gifts, donations are suggested for a future cause in care of Henrietta Gentges.
