He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sander and Bernadine Sander (Hackman). He is survived by: his children, Lisa and Bret; his wife Karen Schmidt of Jefferson City; his grandsons, Gabe and Cooper; his siblings, Jerome Sander (Jan) of Columbia, Mary Jo Sander-Partney (Rich) of Ashland and Ted Sander (Therese) of Moberly; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Schomaker (John) of New Baden, ILL and Mike Ray of Riverton, ILL.
A prayer will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Trimble Funeral Homes (3210 N 10 Mile Dr, Jefferson City, MO 65109). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1206 E McCarty St, Jefferson City, MO 65101).
