He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvia Ledbetter Jones and Charles Reber Jones; his stepmother Virginia Jones; his sisters, Cathy Stewart and Karen Rast; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Elseman (Lloyd), Richard Anderson (Alberta) and Paul Anderson (Mary Ann).

He is survived by: his wife Caroline Jones; his son Troy Jones (Carole) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Brittany Montes (Jonathan), Ashley Anderson, Trent Jones, Sean Jones and Holly Jones; his great grandchildren, Gunner Holt, Dreyden Holt, Roman Jones, Miles Montes, Oliver Montes, Kian Myers and Brodie Myers; his sibling-in-law Bell Taylor (Don); and his sibling's children, Melissa Ann Burgess, Paula Shaffner Reardon and John Charles Schaffner, III (Cecilia).
