We announce the death of Peggy Maples of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 89. Peggy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elston W. Barton and Zelda L. Barton (Sowers); her husband Rev. Donald L. Maples; her siblings, Royce Barton, Daisy Seaton and Elston W. Barton; and her granddaughter Shanna Renee Maples.
She is survived by: her children, Donald L. Maples Jr., Darrell L. Maples (Rhonda), Dwayne L. Maples (Renee) and Donna L. Maples; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Crawford (Brian), Aubrey Rippee, Sarah Kempker (Todd), Rebecca Martin (Eric), Daniel Maples (Catriona), Meghan Maples and Hannah Williams. She is also survived by 8 Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, Jefferson City, Missouri.
