Rose M. Porting Lahr Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rose M. Porting Lahr of Jefferson City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Koenigsfeld and Clara J. Koenigsfeld (Troesser); her former husband Frederick William "Fred" Porting; her husband Gilbert L. Talken; her siblings, Sister Viola Koenigsfeld, Raymond Koenigsfeld and Clarence Koenigsfeld; and her brothers-in-law, Fred Goeke, Paul Lage, Marvin Herigon and Harold "Butch" Veltrop.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Dowell of Jefferson City, Carl Porting (Sue) of Jefferson City, Maria Stockman of Jefferson City and Jon Porting (Nichole) of Parkville, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Rachel Winingear (Matt), Megan Luebbert (Matt), Andrew Porting (MaryJo), Zach Porting, Nicholas Porting and Emma Porting; her great grandchildren, Lily Porting, Kyle Winingear, Haley Winingear, Hazel Luebbert, Greyson Luebbert and Slate Luebbert; and her siblings, Ann Goeke, LaVerne Lage, George Koenigsfeld (Sarah), Marilyn Herigon, Leon Koenigsfeld (Eileen), Frances Veltrop and Andy Koenigsfeld (Mary Pat). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
