He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Johanna "Jennie" Clarkston (Holzer); and his siblings, Evelyn Thoenen (Alfred), Lawrence Clarkston (Helen Marie), Louise Weed, James Clarkston, Charles Clarkston, Mary Jane Doerhoff, Ruth Clarkston and Charyl Clarkston.
He is survived by: his brothers, William Clarkston (Helen) and Darrell Clarkston (Joyce); and his siblings-in-law, Rita Clarkston and Rowland Doerhoff of Jefferson City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
