He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Phillips and Lydia Phillips (Blevins); his son Gaylen Phillips; and his brother Barry Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Phillips (Kathy) of Lenexa, Kansas, Shirlene Osburn (Scott) of Joplin and Patti Zahn of Takoma Park, Maryland; his daughter-in-law Darla Phillips of Kansas City, Kansas; his siblings, Sharon Limes of West Jordan, Charlotte Houck (Larry) of Wichita, Anita Hibbs (John) of Altamont, Kansas and Allen Phillips (Elaine) of Altamont, Kansas; his grandchildren, Chelsey Gartner (Gage), Morgan Osburn, Jason Phillips, Heather Gravatt (Ronnie Pursley, Jr), Megan Roark, Amanda Plymire (Derek), Allison San Juan (Steve), Matthew Spann (Laura) and Zach Zahn; his great grandchildren, Ashlee (Chris Moeller), Austin, Jacy, Kaiden, Skyler, Seth, Emery, Kaison, Zailey, Lane and Lacey; and his great great grandchildren, Braylee, Braxton, Brayton and Blayklee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Faith Assembly of God Mission's Program in care of the mortuary.
