With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Wood (Joplin, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Betty's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Betty has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Larkin Brammer and Nina Gertrude Brammer (Monigold); her husband Pierce Wood; her son Richard Hunt; and her sister Martha Morton.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Holland of Carl Junction, Bobby Hunt of Carl Junction and Lee Wood (Stacy) of Fort Myers, FL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew.
