We announce the death of Claud E. Hutchings of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 97. Claud will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hutchings and Bessie Hutchings; and his brothers, Max and John Hutchings. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Oxendine; his sons, Mark Hutchings (Vicki) of Rogers, AR and Chris Hutchings (Sue) of Havana, KS; his sister Lilly Dean Eaton of Joplin, MO; and his grandchildren, Brandon Hutchings (Stacey), Matt Hutchings (Yelitza), Nena Endicott, Melissa Elms (John), Lauren Huebner (Jerod) and Alexandria Severs (Brook). He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
