With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary McVay Sr. (Joplin, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary McVay Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay McVay and Freda McVay; his siblings, Shirley Baumgarner, Carolyn McVay and Jimmy McVay; his great grandchild Hope McVay; and his son-in-law Joel Alan Goff.
He is survived by: his wife Julie McVay (Hight); his children, Gary Jr. McVay (Christina), Marty McVay (Jennifer) and Sherri Lynn Crismon; his grandchildren, Allyssa McVay (Cody), Dillon McVay, Brooke Crismon (Alex), A. J. Dobbs, Bella McVay (Manuel), Trinity Dobbs and Zach McVay (Mayson); his great grandchildren, Skyy McVay, Lincoln McVay, Braylee Pickett and Monroe McVay; and his sister Wanda Polodna.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Joplin Calvary Church of the Nazarene (2820 S Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64802).
