With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Vernon (Joplin, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Osborne Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parker Mortuary Chapel (1502 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Cerebral Palsy of Tri County Missouri or St. Judes Children's Hospital of Memphis, TN.
