He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Anderson; and his brother Tom Anderson. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Tate of Purcell, MO; his sister Debbie Adams (David) of Purcell, MO; his wife Carol Anderson of Joplin, MO; his children, Juli Bradshaw (Jeremy) of Marceline, MO, Thomas Shockley (Jessica) of Hastings, FL and Wosbeli Perez of Wichita, KS; and his grandson Tanner Bradshaw of Marceline, MO.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Church of the Nazarene (2802 Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).

“So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I can't pass a Starbucks without thinking of him. In fact, when he was associate pastor at Wellington, his nickname was Gemini Starbucks. Pastor Don Cross would often refer to Jim & I from the pulpit and he got tagged with Gemini Starbucks after that. I'll also never forget Jim riding with me chasing a steam engine and telling Anna that "we were clear off the ground a couple of times! Good thing that suburban had hand holds!"
