She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell G. Jones and Fern M. Jones. She is survived by: her husband Bennie Southwick; her children, Kimberly Martinez (Ray) and Kevin Southwick (Cookie); her grandchildren, Alec Martinez (Pfeifer) and Anna Martinez; her great grandchildren, Charlie and Canon; her brother Russell Jones Jr. (Dona); her nephew Jeremy Jones; and her niece Christie Ruhl (Chris).
In lieu of flowers, Janice's family invites donations to Joplin Public Schools, to honor her legacy. Such donations can be made to Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, which will facilitate a single donation in Janice's name to Joplin Public Schools.
