He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerrel Emmitt Cook and Laura Dora Naimen Cook; and his wife Louise Cook. He is survived by: his children, Shelly Johnson, Jerrel Cook III and Elizabeth Cook; his brother Robert Watkins; his children-in-law, Gaylon Johnson and Mary Cook; and his great grandchildren, Kandice Stephens, Augusta Johnson, Felicia Vaught, Riley Druley, Isaiah Cook, Elijah Cook, Jacklyn Cook, Ezra Cook, Ezekiel Cook, Nicholas Stephens, Alana Shaw, Emma Druley, Kenneth Druley, Leah Druley, Kolina Stephens, Monty Stephens and Lilly Druley. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mercy Cancer Center or Souls Harbor.
