We announce the death of John Willard Porter of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Porter and Ruby Clingenpeel Porter; and his sister Bonnie Goff. He is survived by: his family Christian; his wife Naoma Porter; his sons, Jason Porter of Excelsior Springs and Jered Porter of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kammi Thorne (Michael) of Buckeye, Arizona and Korby Porter (Josie Smith) of Kirkwood, Missouri; his sisters, Lisa Goff of Anderson and Lori Porter (Lisa Sweet) of Carl Junction, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Harriet Davis of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Sonny Goff of Stella, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
