Though Joseph LeRoy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph LeRoy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Rainey and Lottie Rainey (Swager); and his son Joseph L. Rainey Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy (McCoy); his children, David Rainey, Phillip Rainey and Teresa Barry; and his siblings, John Lee Rainey and Jane E. Rainey. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mason-Woodard Chapel (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gibson Cemetery.
