Kirby Allen Wald Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Kirby Allen Wald of Joplin, Missouri. Kirby, born on January 25, 1975, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father David Lee Wald; his brother David Allen Wald; and his granddaughter Khelani Rein Shields. He is survived by: his children, Anthony Childs, Madison Anderson, Rylee Wald, Deon Shields, Cory Prevost, Avien Shields and Hannah Ruark; his grandchildren, Remington Childs, Blake Childs, Jaylah Prevost, Aurora Cooper, Avani Shields and Alayah Shields; his mother Rebecca Cook; his stepfather Joseph Wilson; and his siblings, Kimberly Bradley (Jeffrey), Elizabeth Cook, Jonathan Wilson (Armando) and Spencer Askins. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Knell Mortuary (308 W Chestnut St, Carthage, MO 64836).
