With profound sadness, we say goodbye to LaDawn Waites (Joplin, Missouri), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father David Eugene Waites. She is survived by: her mother Carol L. Maples (Hanson) of Joplin; her son Reed Waites of Joplin; her brother Travis Waites (Emanne) of Moscow, Russia; her sibling's children, Tyler Waites (Hollis) of Provo, UT and Sora Waites of Seattle, WA; and her half-sisters, Manya Maples of Pittsburgh, KS, Tammy Gailey (Shan) of Ochelata, OK and Sonya Hamblin (Bob) of Gallatin, TN..

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Parker Mortuary Chapel (1502 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 10:00 PM at the same location.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Missionary Fund.
