It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Joan Chase of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Martha Joan Chase to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Gragg and Edna Gragg (Phillips); and her sister Bobbie Katherine House (Gragg). She is survived by: her children, Michael B. Chase (Carol Madaio) of Seattle, Dr. Patrick R. Chase (Becky) of Fayetteville, Catherine E. Chase of Los Angeles and Heidi Williams (Pete) of Joplin; her grandchildren, Libby Chase, Lewis Chase of Fayetteville, Catherine Connor (Colton) of Bentonville, Gage Williams, Dan Williams, Logan Williams of Joplin, David Gurdak and Angela Gurdak of Seattle; and her great grandchild Ella Williams of Joplin.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Spiva Center for the Arts and the First Presbyterian Church, in care of the mortuary.
