He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyan Sims and Maurine Sims; his sister Lorrie Medina (Janie); and his brother-in-law Don Gann. He is survived by: his son Michael Paul Sims of Commerce, OK; his grandchildren, Kylee Dempsey (Garland) of Eucha, OK, Hannah Sims of Quapaw, OK and Michael Wyan Eugene (Mikey); his great grandchildren, Easton, Delana and Avery; and his sisters, Linda Pizinger (David) of Joplin, MO, Connie Gann of Lufkin, TX and Lisa Kiernan (Jeff) of Carthage, MO. He is also survived by his family, especially his son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
