As Phillip departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Phillip may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Phillip leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy May Gaumer; and his son-in-law Rick Halstead. He is survived by: his children, P. Randall Gaumer (Deb), Lisa K. Halstead and Jay B. Gaumer (Kathy); his brother Larry Gaumer; and his brother-in-law Rex Young. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and cherished friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fellowship Baptist Church (2827 E 32nd St, Joplin, MO 64804). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Osborne Memorial Cemetery (3400 McClelland Blvd, Joplin, MO 64804).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church.
