With sadness, we share the passing of Robert Joseph Anaya of Joplin, Missouri. Robert, born on April 19, 1957 in Los Angeles, California, passed away on July 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Anaya and Robert Sherrill; his brother Antonio Anaya; his daughters, Charline Anaya and Felicia Anaya; and his nephew Gilbert Talamontez.
He is survived by: his children, Alicia Hillman of Joplin and Antonio Sherrell; and his grandchildren, Desirae Anaya, Belin Jackson, Andrew Hillman, Ariana Sherrell, Avery Koehler, Terin Koehler, Cruz Cope, Ace Robert Cope and Bentley Cope. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Joplin Association for the Blind or American Diabetes Association both in care of Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory.
