It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Kay Smith (Joplin, Missouri), who passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Red and Mona Red; and her sister Carol Blackman. She is survived by: her sister Janice Prudhel (Ore) of Eugene; and her children, Michael, Linda Cavener of Lucedale, Terry Cavener of Joplin, MO, Kelly, Ricki, Victor Gomez of Joplin, MO, Sharon Adams of Carl Junction, MO, Clarence and Veronica Adams of Independence, MO. She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great -great grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that if you can please donate blood to your local blood bank for others dealing with leukemia.
