With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shelby Paul Horn of Joplin, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shelby left this world on February 17, 2026 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Shelby may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his daughter Tonya Horn of Joplin, MO; his nephews, Thom Watts (Sarah) and Brad Watts (Julee); and his sisters, Eva Abney of Florida, Emma Stauffer of Ohio and Cleta Daws of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends; three of his four-legged companions.
Memorial donations may be made in Shel's name to the Joplin Humane Society.
